who's bamer?
I'm Beth Baden (a.k.a. “BAMER” *), a Graphic Designer & Visual Display Artist with a passion for creating projects that attract, delight, and inspire consumers of all types. I most recently worked for Whole Foods Market as the Lead Graphic Artist at the St. Paul location, specializing in handmade & graphic art, large-scale installations, creative merchandising, and enhancing customer experience.
To put it simply: I like to make art that makes people happy...
because it makes me happy too.
Guided by the wisdom of my Mother’s “We can make that!” philosophy, I began making art as a child and haven’t stopped since. After earning a BFA in painting & photography from the University of Notre Dame in 2002, I promptly began traveling the world, developing my passion for customer service, and learning graphic design. I joined the Whole Foods Market team in 2013, drawn to their holistic mission, unique company culture, and enthusiasm for customer care. Two years later I became the Lead Store Graphic Artist and since then have expanded my skills to include chalk painting, glass & floor art, and multi-media installation.
I currently reside in a small colorful home in the North End of Saint Paul with my husband Max and daughters Mosley (“Mo”) & Rooney ("Roo"), where I’m constantly finding new surfaces to paint and endless reasons to smile.
*So what’s with the name?
Prior to getting married in 2016, my name was Beth Amer.
I started signing my work “bamer” in college . . . and there you have it.
